Thank you for choosing Mortgage Shield LLC. We’re honored to support you on one of the most important investments you'll ever make — your home.
The Mortgage Shield Home Owner Warranty was created to bring homeowners something that’s often missing in moments of financial stress: relief, clarity, and real support when it matters most.
Whether you're experiencing a temporary setback, a family emergency, a sudden loss of income, or simply looking for peace of mind, Mortgage Shield is here to help you stay protected, stay informed, and stay in your home.
This page explains what the Warranty includes, how Assistance Payments work, and how the Mortgage Shield Pay-Later Plan (MS-PLP) allows you to repay Mortgage Shield over time after we step in and help.
The Mortgage Shield Home Owner Warranty is a monthly protection service designed to help eligible homeowners prevent foreclosure, overcome hardship-related mortgage challenges, and stay on track during unexpected financial difficulties.
When a qualifying Hardship Event occurs, Mortgage Shield may provide:
Our goal is simple: you don’t have to face mortgage hardship alone. You have a partner in your corner.
Qualification is designed to be simple, fair, and accessible. To be eligible for Warranty Benefits:
Your credit score is never checked and does not impact your ability to qualify. Mortgage Shield does not perform soft pulls, hard pulls, or credit inquiries of any kind.
As long as you’re an active member in good standing for at least three consecutive months, you may request assistance — even if your credit has been damaged by previous hardships.
Life happens — and when it does, Mortgage Shield is here to help. You may be eligible for Warranty Benefits if your ability to make mortgage payments is impacted by events such as:
Mortgage Shield reviews every request on a case-by-case basis. Routine nonpayment without hardship, intentional nonpayment, or speculative behavior is not covered.
When a Hardship is verified and approved, Mortgage Shield may issue an Assistance Payment directly to your mortgage lender or servicer to help cure or reduce delinquency.
These payments:
Because Mortgage Shield advances this payment on your behalf, it becomes part of your Mortgage Shield Pay-Later Plan (MS-PLP), described below in Part B.
The Warranty does not cover:
When Mortgage Shield provides an Assistance Payment on your behalf, the amount advanced is repaid over time through the Mortgage Shield Pay-Later Plan (MS-PLP). This keeps your monthly membership affordable while still allowing us to step in financially when it matters most.
The MS-PLP Repayment Balance consists of:
You may choose one of the following MS-PLP repayment schedules:
Your exact monthly payment, total repayment amount, and first due date will be displayed for your review and acknowledgment before Mortgage Shield disburses any Assistance Payment.
You authorize Mortgage Shield and its payment processor to:
This authorization remains in effect until your MS-PLP Repayment Balance is paid in full.
If MS-PLP payments are missed or go unpaid, Mortgage Shield may:
You must pay off any existing MS-PLP balance before qualifying for another Bailout Event, unless Mortgage Shield approves otherwise in writing.
You may cancel your Mortgage Shield subscription at any time, but cancellation does not cancel or reduce any outstanding MS-PLP Repayment Balance. All advanced funds remain due until paid in full.
Mortgage Shield is not responsible for lender decisions, processing timeframes, market conditions, or outcomes beyond our control. To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability is limited to the total amount of Assistance Payments advanced on your behalf.
Any dispute arising from this Warranty or MS-PLP may be resolved through binding arbitration in the state where the covered property is located, to the extent permitted by law.
By using Mortgage Shield services, continuing with enrollment, or digitally accepting these terms, you agree that your click, tap, or electronic acknowledgment constitutes your legally binding electronic signature.
Mortgage Shield exists to help homeowners protect their homes, their families, and their peace of mind. If you ever experience a Hardship Event, we’re here to walk with you—step by step— until you’re back on solid ground.
